Guns N’ Roses Makes YouTube History With ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ Reaching 1 Billion Views

Guns N’ Roses’s Sweet Child O’ Mine has reached over a billion views on YouTube, making not only GN’R’s second billion-view video, but also the first music video of the 1980s to reach a billion views on YouTube. According to official YouTube data, Sweet Child O’ Mine just beat out Aha’s Take On Me, which has 943 million views. The Sweet Child video has been watched approximately 590K times a day in 2019, thanks in part to GN’R’s 6.7 million subscribers on their YouTube artist page. This comes after the band’s song November Rain got over a billion views on YouTube and became the only music video from the ’90s to be in the Club.
